Hamas thanks Yemen for campaign to release Palestinians held in Saudi Arabi



SANAA - The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has commented on Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi's initiative, in which he offered Riyadh a prisoner swap of Saudi troops imprisoned by Yemeni forces in exchange for Hamas leaders detained in Saudi Arabia.

 The initiative was met with wide appreciation and interest among Palestinians in the occupied territories and beyond, notably the Islamic resistance movement Hamas.

In a statement, Hamas expressed its appreciation for Sayyid al-Houthi's initiative.

"We highly appreciate spirit of brotherhood and sympathy with the Palestinian people, and support their steadfastness and resistance. We express our thanks for this interest and this initiative," the statement read.

According to the statement, Hamas reiterated its demand for Saudi Arabia to urgently release all Palestinian detainees from the kingdom's prisons.

The statement confirmed that Palestine is will remain the universal cause of the Arab and Islamic nation.

Hamas addressed all Arab and Islamic peoples and governments, calling on them to unite their efforts to support the Palestinian people and their just cause.
